Our Final
Term Syllabus which is being taken care of by the
teachers especially with regard to the students of X
and XII. The school is excelling in many fields apart
from pure academics. In the recent past, our students
participated at the city, state and at the national
level competitions and have brought many laurels to
the school. Just to mention a few,
-
ICSE/Declamation
Contest: Winner in junior category and runners
up in seniors at the Zonal level.
-
Interschool
Debate Contest organized by SAIL: Runners up.
-
ICSE/Creative
Writing Contest Regional Champions.
-
ICSE/Sports
(Ahmedabad): National level champions at long,
high and triple jumps, 4x100 relay national
champions & Overall National Champions.
-
ICSE/Basketball
(Bengaluru): National runners up in two
categories.
In the field of social awareness, our school has
gone all out to create its niche by involving every
student in several projects and programme. We are
proud members of UNO’s international initiative
‘Millennium Development Goals’ under the guidance of
Mrs. Bella Mohan, our teacher. To participate in
such international seminars and processes, two
students are going to Czech Republic in April 2010.
Similarly, twelve students would be visiting Belgium
in June 2010 as a part of International Cultural
Exchange Programme. The students have already been
preparing for it and had put up a show at recently
concluded Khadi Mela at the city. We have
even tied up with our local FM Channel BIG
92.7 FM to bring awareness about our effort.
Some of it will be aired on Children’s Day on
14th November 2009.
Due to the already scheduled Assembly Election in
the state, the buses from the school will be
requisitioned for election duties from 22nd November
(Sunday) 2009 to 25th November 2009 in the First
Phase of Election. Similarly, the same will be done,
depending upon the situation and need, from 29th
November 2009 to 3rd December 2009 in the Second
Phase. However, we are facing uncertainties
regarding the aforementioned requisition and this
certainly puts before us more challenges as
regarding the availability of buses for the whole
school. Keeping this in mind, we are planning to
conduct classes for the higher sections on the said
days. However, when all the buses are available,
normal classes for both primary and senior sections
will recommence with normal routine.
I conclude now with a quote by William Ralph Inge,
“The aim of education is the knowledge not of the
facts but of values”.
